Volunteer training

The qualification of volunteers in youth work is a core mission of the Babenhausen Youth Education Centre, through this great commitment of many volunteer youth leaders, a wide range of measures and offers in Swabia are made at all possible.

Youth leader training

The youth leader training course ‘ABC of Youth Work’ prepares you for everyday pedagogical work in open youth work, in associations and for management of holiday trips. The course provides all volunteers with the necessary tools.

JuBi Babenhausen offers the ‘ABC of Youth Work’ training programme every year. In addition, our programme includes numerous courses that can be credited towards the recognition or renewal of the JuLeiCa.

Exemption for youth leaders for further training

To whom does the exemption law apply?

It applies to volunteer youth leaders who are in an employment or training relationship. Pupils can be granted leave of absence by their school headmasters, but this law does not apply. The Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs is in favour of such leaves of absence as long as there are no serious school-related reasons to the contrary. The law also applies accordingly to civil servants and persons in a public-law training relationship.

What is the exemption granted for?

  • for voluntary work in youth work programmes within the meaning of Section 11 of Book Eight of the German Social Code
  • to participate in conferences and events that serve the purpose of training and further education for corresponding activities.
