International work

In view of the current challenges of a globalised world with its multicultural and multinational societies, international youth work is becoming increasingly important.

It promotes the personal development and identity formation of young people in terms of self-confidence, social and intercultural competence and openness to new experiences and encounters.

International youth work is directly related to the values and educational concept of our youth education centre.

Youth exchange promotes the following in children and young people:

  • Solidarity, tolerance, freedom, equality, justice and fills these values with life,
  • democratic and social thinking in a united Europe,
  • a sense of responsibility for the community,
  • personal development,
  • intercultural and linguistic competences,
  • (European) sense of citizenship and civil engagement
