Responsibility, close to the happening
The Bezirksjugendring Schwaben (District Youth Council of Swabia) – as the representative body for youth policy in Swabia – is the organisation responsible for the youth education centre. This means we also serve as the home for the 14 youth rings and 32 youth associations in Swabia that are united within the Bezirksjugendring.
This network supports the JuBi and enables it to act as an educational provider for youth work in Swabia – close to the action and on an equal footing. We work collaboratively with young people as well as volunteers and full-time staff in youth work. This ensures quality and continuous development. Our target groups are primarily
- youth work leaders, officials and advocates
- individual young people, groups and teams
- staff at youth organisations and youth councils
- youth work managers and partners.
The JuBi complements, strengthens and revitalises the administrative region of Swabia as an educational platform, alongside the wide range of other youth work initiatives. – That is our mission.
The basis for our work is set out in the current Children and Youth Programme for Swabia.
The District of Swabia is the developer of JuBi. Our work is supported and overseen by the Youth Committee of the Swabian District Council, led by District Council President Martin Sailer, as well as by the administration of the District of Swabia.
The centre is open to user groups from beyond Swabia who have their own educational objectives and activities. Visiting groups benefit from the educational atmosphere, the facilities and the professional expertise of our staff in delivering their respective programmes.
